Yelena Kovaleva appointed head of Russian govt's natural resources, agribusiness department
MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Yelena Kovaleva has been appointed director of the Russian government's department for natural resources, land relations and the agribusiness sector, according to a government order signed on January 24 and posted on the official website for legal information.
The head of this department in the government of former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Irina Antekhina has retired.
Prior to her appointment, Kovaleva served as chief of staff of the State Duma Committee for Land Relations and Construction. She holds a PhD in law.
