Azerbaijani FM meets with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in Geneva, due to meet with Armenian FM
BAKU. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with the co-chairs of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group in Geneva, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press secretary Leyla Abdullayeva told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Mammadyarov has met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov of Russia, Stephane Visconti of France, and Andrew Schofer of the United States, as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk in Geneva," Abdullayeva said.
She provided no further details.
Abdullayeva confirmed that Mammadyarov is also expected to meet with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan in Geneva in order to discuss the Karabakh peace process.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan had their last meeting in Bratislava on December 4, 2019.
Mammadyarov said earlier that he was due to have his next meeting with Mnatsakanyan in January 2020.
