Agriculture Ministry maintaining grain export forecast this agro year, doesn't expect it to decrease

KRASNOGORSK. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The Agriculture Ministry is keeping its grain export forecast for this agricultural year (July 2019 - June 2020) at 45 million tonnes, including 36 million tonnes of grain.

"What Dmitry Nikolayevich [Patrushev, the agriculture minister] announced is being maintained. We don't have any preconditions for a decrease in the forecasts," Deputy Agricultural Minister Oksana Lut told journalists at the National Dairy Producers Union congress.

She said the harvest is in line with the ministry's forecast: about 121 million tonnes (120.7 million, according to Rosstat). "Accordingly, we've calculated all the balances," Lut said.

Last agricultural year, Russia exported 43.3 million tonnes of grain, including 35.2 million tonnes of wheat.
