Tatneft tire complex decreased output by third in 2019
KAZAN. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Companies belonging to Tatneft's tire complex decreased their production by 5 million tires in 2019, Tatneftekhiminvest Holding head Rafinat Yarullin said at a meeting of the company's board of directors on Thursday.
"The decrease at Tatneft's tire complex slowed by the end of last year. Compared with 2018, tire production fell by almost 5 million units," Yarullin said.
It was reported in PJSC Tatneft's yearly report that the group produced 14.6 million tires in 2018. There was thus a 34% decrease in 2019.
"Tire sales in Russia's secondary market fell by a third, but the 2018 level for deliveries to auto plants was exceeded," Yarullin said.
Tatneft's tire complex includes Nizhnekamskshina , the Nizhnekamsk Truck Tire Plant, the Nizhnekamsk Solid Steel Cord Tire Factory (tire production), Tatneft-Neftekhimsnab, and the Kama Trading House (sales of finished products).
