Ex-chair of Rosneft board Nekipelov joins presidential fuel and energy commission
MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Alexander Nekipelov, the head of the Moscow School of Economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University and a full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has joined the Presidential Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security.
The relevant presidential decree has been published on the official online database of legal information.
Nekipelov replaced Viktor Ivanter, another Academician, who died last September.
Nekipelov headed Rosneft's board of directors in 2011-14.
The commission was created in 2012. It is chaired by Vladimir Putin, and its responsible secretary is Rosneft head Igor Sechin. It includes representatives of big business and state structures.
