Kazakh citizens advised against travel to China, 23 other countries due to coronavirus

NUR-SULTAN. Jan 31 (Interfax) - The Health Ministry of Kazakhstan has advised Kazakh citizens not to travel to China and other countries which have recorded cases of the new coronavirus.

"We strongly recommend that our citizens do not travel to PRC [People's Republic of China] or to any of the 23 countries where coronavirus patients have been registered," Health Minister Yelzhan Birtanov said at a briefing in Nur-Sultan on Friday.

"Overall, we recommend limiting foreign travel at this time," Birtanov said.
