Impact of coronavirus on Chinese economy to be insignificant - ambassador
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - The coronavirus outbreak in China will have no significant impact on the Chinese economy, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said.
"Some colleagues believe that the outbreak is actually having a negative impact on the Chinese economy. Indeed, it will have an impact on the economy, but it is also insignificant," Zhang told journalists on Monday.
"Because it concerns only one province and one city," he said.
"I think that after the epidemic situation, the Chinese government will take ever more active actions and measures to encourage the development of the economy," Zhang said.
