Rosselkhoznadzor lifts export restrictions on PepsiCo plant in Altay Territory
BARNAUL. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has lifted export restrictions on JSC Wimm Bill Dann's Rubtsovo Dairy Plant, which is part of PepsiCo, acting head of the Rosselkhoznadzor directorate for the Altay Territory and the Altay Republic Andrei Mironov said at a press conference at the Interfax press center in Barnaul.
"The enterprise was under temporary restrictions - these are imposed by the central executive body [of Rosselkhoznadzor]. In order for the enterprise to get these restrictions lifted, it must take corrective measures (...) The enterprise no longer has this status. (...) Now it is shipping its products for export," Mironov said.
Issues with the Rubtsovo Daiy Plant were due to discovery of antibiotics in finished products.
At present, there are no issues relating to the plant, Mironov said. In the event that antibiotics in raw milk, the plant will notify Rosselkhoznadzor, which will then begin working with milk suppliers.
