Moscow expects EU to recognize Crimea as part of Russia sooner or later

MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Moscow does not rule out that the EU countries will recognize Crimea and Sevastopol as part of Russia sooner or later, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry Department of European Cooperation (DEC) Nikolai Kobrinets said.

"Never say never," Kobrinets said when asked whether the recognition by the EU of Crimea and Sevastopol as part of Russia is realistic.

"Bearing in mind that historical and all other types of truth are on our side. And the number of people in the West who understand that is increasing," he said in an interview with Interfax which coincided with Diplomat's Day.
