Azerbaijan fulfilled OPEC+ oil production obligations in Jan
BAKU. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan produced 769,000 barrels of oil per day in January 2020.
"Azerbaijan produced an average of 769,000 barrels per day in January 2020, thereby fulfilling its obligations under the OPEC+ deal," the country's Energy Ministry said. Under the deal, Azerbaijan agreed to produce 769,000 bpd.
In January, it produced 678,000 barrels of oil and 91,000 barrels of condensate per day. It exported 540,000 barrels of oil, 87,000 of condensate, and 22,300 of petroleum products per day.
"The data on daily oil production in Azerbaijan in January has been sent to the Joint Technical Committee of the OPEC Monitoring Committee," the statement reads.
On December 6, 2019, it was decided to decrease oil production by an additional 372,000 bpd for OPEC countries and by 131,000 bpd for non-OPEC countries starting January 1.
