Georgian opposition planning massive rally in Tbilisi on April 4

TBILISI. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Georgian opposition is planning to hold a large-scale rally outside Georgia's parliament building in central Tbilisi on April 4.

"We're switching to a new action plan. For a large-scale rally to be held in Tbilisi on April 4, we'll maximize our efforts with the regional population. The fight against the regime of [Bidzina] Ivanishili [chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party] must end with victory by opposition forces," New Georgia party leader Giorgi Vashadze told reporters on Tuesday.

Following yesterday's arrest of one of the leaders of the opposition, former Tbilisi mayor Gigi Ugulava, all opposition parties decided to discontinue negotiation with authorities, Vashadze said.
