In-person meeting of heads of Roscosmos, ESA cancelled
MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin's meeting with European Space Agency (ESA) Director General Jan Woerner, initially scheduled to take place in Moscow on Thursday, will be held by video link, the Roscosmos press service told reporters.
"The talks of the heads of the space agencies will be held by video link," the press service said.
The in-person meeting and a subsequent press conference were cancelled "due to the heads' busy schedules," it said.
Reports about the cancellation of Rogozin's in-person meeting with Woerner came amid the worldwide spread of the novel coronavirus. More than 100,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed globally, nearly 4,000 have died from the infection, but most patients have recovered. The coronavirus outbreak first originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year.
