Russian state awards for achievements in sphere of human rights protection, charity increased fourfold to 10 mln rubles - decree
MOSCOW. Dec 31 (Interfax) - The amounts of Russian state awards for outstanding achievements in the sphere of human rights and the Russian state awards for outstanding achievements in the sphere of charity will be increased from 2.5 million rubles to ten million rubles starting from January 1, 2020.
A relevant decree issued by the Russian president was published on the official legal information portal on Tuesday.
The document also disconnects these awards from the International Human Rights Day, which is marked on December 10.
