Belarus raises export duties on LPG
MINSK. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Belarus has increased export duties on liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), according to a resolution signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, the Belarusian government's press service reported on Friday.
"The rates for liquefied petroleum gases are rising from $17.40 to $61.50 per tonne, and for ethane, butane, and isobutane from $15.60 to $55.30 per tonne under the resolution," according to the statement.
The resolution enters into force upon official publication and applies retroactively to transactions dating back to November 1, 2026.
The previous adjustment to LPG export duties occurred on October 7, when they were reinstated following a period of zero-rate duties that had been in place since August 1.
Prior to this, zero-rate duties had been in effect from June 2025 until April this year. The duties were reintroduced on April 1, subsequently raised in May and June, and then lowered in July.
