Gas contract extension with Belgrade to be discussed once Serbian govt formed - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - The matter of extending the gas contract with Serbia will be discussed with Belgrade once official requests have been received and the government has been definitively formed, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

"I believe we will need to revisit this matter once Serbia's government bodies have been formed and they have filed the relevant official requests," Zakharova said at a press briefing in response to a question on the matter.

"As for non-governmental channels of communication, they have, in fact, never been interrupted, and we remain ready to maintain them in a spirit of mutual respect," she added.
