Russia's Rosatom offers Turkmenistan cooperation on nuclear medicine, wind power, digital technologies

ASHGABAT. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Rosatom sees opportunities for expanding technological cooperation with Turkmenistan beyond the scope of nuclear energy, the deputy head of the Russian state corporation's representative office in Central Asia, Dmitry Konstantinov said, News Central Asia reported.

The development of Russian-Turkmen technological partnership could begin with projects that are not directly related to nuclear energy, but hinge on Rosatom's expertise and solutions, he said.

Rosatom is prepared to offer cooperation in the area of nuclear medicine. Such projects are already being implemented in Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan.

Another potential area for cooperation is wind energy. Rosatom has its own wind farms in Russia with combined capacity of more than 1 GW and is carrying out the first export project in this area in Kyrgyzstan, where it is building a wind farm in Issyk-Kul, Konstantinov said.

He also mentioned additive technologies and composite materials used in the aircraft industry and construction, as well as solutions in the area of digitalization, such as building data centers.
