Agricultural trade between Russia, China up more than a third in 9M 2026 - Mishustin
ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Russia and China increased agricultural trade by more than a third in 9M 2026 compared with the same period last year, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"Trade in agricultural products increased by more than a third in the first nine months of this year compared with the same period of 2025," Mishustin said at the 31st regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
Domestic goods under the Made in Russia brand have proven their high quality and are gaining popularity in China, he said. "We need to expand the range of mutual supplies. There is demand for this from our countries' citizens," Mishustin said.
Both countries have good potential for expanding practical cooperation in agriculture overall, Mishustin said.
Agricultural trade between Russia and China amounted to $11 billion in 2025, up 21% from the previous year. In particular, agricultural products and food worth approximately $8 billion were imported from Russia to China, compared with $6.4 billion in 2024.
