Russian govt allocates more than 1.7 bln rubles to support regional export development programs
MOSCOW. Oct 19 (Interfax) - More than 1.7 billion rubles will be directed to Russia's regions for implementing measures as part of export development programs, and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed an order on this issue.
According to a report published on Saturday on the government's website, 58 constituent entities that submitted the relevant applications will receive the funds. This will make it possible to increase their exports to 3.2 billion rubles.
"This refers, among other things, to projects that are implemented by representatives of small and medium-sized businesses with the support of regional export centers. The envisaged measures cover all stages of an export transaction - from consultations to participation in international exhibitions and assistance in placement on foreign platforms. This accelerates the search for trade partners in promising markets and adaptation to local rules and requirements," the report said.
Speaking about the decision adopted at the government meeting on October 15, Mishustin said that it will help to unlock and realize the trade potential of domestic companies.
