Russian cos prepared to start exporting diesel fuel immediately, but not before contracts signed - Novak

MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - Russia is prepared to start exporting diesel fuel immediately, but contracts with potential counterparties have still not been signed, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told journalists at Russian Energy Week 2026.

"In order to export, contracts must be signed, the fuel must be loaded and the vessel chartered and sent off. All of this takes two to three weeks. Agreements therefore now need to be signed more quickly [on the U.S. side]," Novak said.

"Our companies are ready to ship right now, at any moment," he said.

Asked whether diesel had begun to be exported in effect, he said that "negotiations on commercial contracts are currently underway".
