Russia supplies Europe with energy resources worth $21.3 bln in 9M 2026, continues to fulfill existing contracts - deputy PM
MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Russia supplied Europe with energy resources worth $21.3 billion in 9M 2026 and continues to fulfill existing contracts, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.
"According to our Energy Ministry, the figure is significantly higher than even $250 billion, which was cited by our U.S. colleagues. This figure amounts to $320.7 billion for the period from 2022 to the present - this is the amount of energy resource supplies to the countries of the European Union. As for 2026, according to the Energy Ministry, energy resources worth $21.3 billion have already been supplied to Europe in just nine months," Novak said.
"That is, despite the sanctions-related restrictions, we nevertheless continue to supply energy resources in certain areas for which exceptions have been made. And Russia, as a reliable supplier that previously always fulfilled the contracts that were signed, continues to fulfill its obligations. Yes, this is not our fault; in recent years the attitude towards exports to the European Union has changed greatly, but we supply what our European colleagues want," Novak said.
"We have already oriented most of our exports towards growing Asian markets. And today our main partners are the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. They are reliable, we continue to work with them and build long-term relations with friendly countries," he said.
