Russia's Logika Moloka launches cheese production
MOSCOW. Oct 7 (Interfax) - The company Logika Moloka, one of Russia's leading producers of dairy products and plant-based beverages, has launched cheese production.
The new products - curd cheeses and semi-hard cheeses - are produced under the Prostokvashino brand, the company said in a press release. The cheese portfolio will be expanded with new types and flavors.
For now, the company plans to produce up to 30 tonnes per month of semi-hard and up to 100 tonnes per month of curd cheeses, the company's press service told Interfax.
The company intends to take a leading position in the market, aiming to enter the top three in the production of curd cheeses and the top five in semi-hard cheeses.
"The need to enter new categories is due to a number of factors. Cheese consumption in Russia grew around 43% from 2020 to 2025, surpassing the psychological mark of 1 million tonnes in 2023. And the category continues to show positive dynamics - consumption grew another 3.5% in the first half of 2026," the press release said.

We will continue to develop new and in-demand products that meet the demand of domestic and foreign consumers," the general director of Logika Moloka, Yakub Zakriev, was quoted as saying in the press release. At the same time, he recalled that this year the product portfolio was also supplemented with ice cream.
