Uzbekistan sees 0.7% inflation in Sept, annual figure 6.4%

TASHKENT. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Consumer prices in Uzbekistan rose 4.2% in the first nine months of 2026, including 0.7% in September, the National Statistical Committee said.

Annual inflation in September was 4.2%.

Food prices in Uzbekistan increased 2.9% in 9M, rising 1% in September and 6.3% year-on-year; non-food prices rose 4.6%, 0.9% and 7% respectively and services 5.6%, 0.9% and 7%.

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan expects to slow to 6.5% in 2026 from 7.3% in 2025, the lowest figure for nine years.
