Russia will fulfill all its grain export obligations this season - agriculture minister
GELENDZHIK. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Russia will fulfill all its obligations for supplying grain to the world market this season, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut told journalists on the sidelines of the Bioprom 2026 forum in Gelendzhik on Monday.
"There is no doubt that Russia will fulfill all its obligations," Lut said when answering a corresponding question.
As reported, Russia has faced difficulties with grain exports in the 2026-2027 agricultural season due to logistical problems in the Azov-Black Sea basin, which accounted for up to 80% of shipments. Alternative grain export routes are currently being worked out and used, including shipment through the ports of the Baltics and the Far East, and overland crossings.
As reported, according to a preliminary estimate by the Rusagrotrans analytical center, wheat exports from Russia amounted to 6.8 million tonnes in July-September compared to 11.3 million tonnes a year earlier. In September, more than 60% of supplies were provided by Baltic ports.
