Ozon sellers hurt by drone attacks to get one-year tax deferral

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a resolution on support measures for entrepreneurs whose business has been hurt by drone attacks on the warehouses of the Internet Solutions Group, the parent company of online marketplace Ozon , granting them deferrals on a number of taxes and insurance contributions, the government's press service reported.

Affected sellers will be eligible for a 12-month extension of deadlines for payment of value-added tax, profit tax, tax paid under the simplified taxation system, tax on professional income, personal income tax for individual entrepreneurs, as well as insurance contributions and advance payments on these taxes due in August 2026-July 2027. They will be able to repay the debt in equal instalments over a year starting in the month after the payments are due.

In addition, affected sellers will be exempt from field tax audits and verifications of correct calculation and timely payment of insurance contributions until the end of 2026. Deadlines for sending demands to pay debt and issuing decisions to collect it will be extended by six months.

The support measures apply to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who have a current contract with Internet Solutions LLC, the press release said. And they must meet at least one of two conditions: the company was registered after December 2025 or the amount of inflicted damage exceeded 5% of annual income.

The calculation of the latter "can include the combined damages inflicted as a result of attacks on the facilities of RWB Group [Wildberries-Russ] and Internet Solutions," the press release said.

Similar support measures were introduced earlier for entrepreneurs whose business was hurt by attacks on RWB Group's warehouses.

"The government has widened the circle of sellers eligible for tax breaks. The key objective is to reduce the financial and administrative burden on entrepreneurs and set the stage for the recovery of their operations," Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko was quoted as saying in the press release.

He said the government is also making it easier to receive the support measures. Sellers will not have to file a separate application; deferrals will be granted automatically based on registries that the platform independently sends to the Federal Tax Service and the regional divisions of insurers.
