Lukashenko invites Xi Jinping to Minsk
MINSK. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to pay an official visit to Belarus in 2027, the presidential press service said.
"Your visit will give the anniversary special symbolism and will become a starting point for a new stage of Belarusian-Chinese relations," Lukashenko said, adding that Belarus and China will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
The relations between Belarus and China are on an unprecedented level, intensive political dialogue is taking place, Lukashenko said.
"Besides the increase of trade, investment cooperation is expanding, industrial cooperation projects that are important to our countries are being implemented. The intensification of humanitarian and cultural contacts also confirms strong all-weather strategic partnership," he said.
