Kazakhstan's annual inflation slows to 9.3% in September

ASTANA. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's annual inflation slowed to 9.3% in September 2026 from 9.8% in August, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.

Monthly inflation was 0.6%, unchanged from August.

Analysts surveyed by Interfax had projected annual inflation between 9.1% and 9.6%.

Nonfood prices rose 11% over the year, food prices 8.5% and paid services 8.9%, the bureau said.

Food and nonalcoholic beverages contributed 3.2 percentage points to annual inflation, while personal care, social protection, other goods and services, and clothing and footwear added 1 percentage point.
