Uzbek, Iranian presidents discuss development of bilateral cooperation - press service

TASHKENT. Sept 29 (Interfax) - Uzbek President Shavkat Mirzioyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have discussed further development of the wide-ranging bilateral cooperation during a phone call, the Uzbek leader's press service said on Tuesday.

At the start of the meeting, Mirziyoyev congratulated Pezeshkian on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being and success in public service.

The conversation focused mainly on stepping up trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The presidents also exchanged views on pressing issues of the regional agenda and discussed a schedule of upcoming events.
