Russian govt increases quotas for rapeseed, sunflower exports from Trans-Baikal, extends them through Aug 31, 2027

MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The Russian government has increased quotas for the export of rapeseed and sunflower from Trans-Baikal Territory and extended their term through August 31, 2027, with the corresponding resolution signed on September 22, 2026, and posted on the official portal of legal information.

The quota sizes are 39,868 tonnes for rapeseed exports (previously 9,451 tonnes) and 14,378 tonnes for sunflower (5,033 tonnes).

Exports within the quotas are subject to a base duty of 6.5%, but not less than 11.4 euros per tonne.

In another resolution, the government introduced quotas for exports of sunflower oil (13,400 tonnes) and sunflower meal (12,000 tonnes) from the Lugansk People's Republic through December 31, 2026. The duty on their shipments will be zero.

A resolution was also adopted introducing quotas for the export of rapeseed and sunflower from Crimea amounting to 10,000 and 15,000 tonnes, respectively. Within the quota, exports will be subject to a base duty of 6.5%, but not less than 11.4 euros per tonne. The quotas are valid through December 31, 2026.
