United Russia gets 57.83% of vote, CPRF 13.81%, Liberal Democratic Party 8.98%, New People 7.96% - CEC chair after counting 95.18% of votes

MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - United Russia is leading in the State Duma elections with 57.83% of the vote, followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) with 13.81%, Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC) chair Ella Pamfilova said after 95.18% of votes had been counted.

"As of now, 95.18% of votes have been counted. We have less than 5% to count, but they also matter, as a slight adjustment is still possible. In general, United Russia gains 57.83% of the vote. You see the results, the seats that it wins in single-member constituencies, 208 single-member constituencies," Pamfilova said, as she summed up preliminary results of elections.

The CPRF ranks second with 13.81% of the vote and five single-member constituencies. The Liberal Democratic Party wins 8.98% of the vote and two single-member constituencies, and New People get 7.96%, Pamfilova said.

She stressed those were preliminary results.
