EAEU temporarily suspends anti-dumping duties on titanium dioxide from China

MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - The anti-dumping duty on titanium dioxide imported from China into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will not be in effect until August 10, 2027 inclusive.

The decision on temporarily suspending the anti-dumping measure was taken by the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the EEC's trade division said.

"An analysis of the available information indicates that there grounds for suspending the effect of the previously introduced anti-dumping measure in the interests of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union," it said.

The decision will enter into force upon the expiration of ten calendar days from the date of its official publication.

The anti-dumping measure on titanium dioxide originating from China and imported into the EAEU's customs territory was introduced in October last year for a period of five years, and is applied in the form of an import duty in the amount of 14.27%-16.25% of the customs value depending on the manufacturer, as well as price undertakings. In addition, the possibility of importing titanium dioxide without paying the anti-dumping duty (outside the framework of price undertakings) within the annual amounts established for the EAEU countries is provided for.
