Russian kick-sharing service Whoosh begins operating in two new cities in Brazil

MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - PJSC Whoosh Holding (the parent company of Whoosh Group, the operator of the eponymous kick-sharing service) has expanded its presence in Latin America by launching operations in two new cities in Brazil - Curitiba and Campos do Jordao, the company said in a statement.

Whoosh will initially place a total of up to 1,500 electric scooters in the two cities.

With the launch of operations in the new cities, Whoosh is now present in seven locations in Brazil.

Curitiba is one of the largest cities in southern Brazil with a population of around 1.8 million people. Campos do Jordao, known as the "Brazilian Switzerland," is one of the largest tourist centers of the state of Sao Paulo. The city receives tourists year-round; during the Christmas season of 2025-2026, it was visited by approximately 1.48 million people.

Whoosh has been operating in Latin America since 2023 and is represented in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. The region accounted for 14% of the group's revenue and 20% of EBITDA in 2025. The company continues to scale up the Latin American segment in 2026, increasing its fleet and geography of presence. Whoosh plans to bring Latin America's share to 30%-40% of the group's total revenue in the medium term.

Whoosh is the largest Russian kick-sharing operator and a developer of technological solutions for micromobility transport. The company is represented in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Latin America.

PJSC Whoosh Holding, the parent company of Whoosh Group, held an IPO in December 2022. The free float is 40.4% as of December 31, 2025.
