Number of Russian dairy producers exporting to Saudi Arabia increases to 26 - agricultural watchdog
MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Saudi Arabia has expanded the list of dairy suppliers from Russia to 26 companies.
Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor said that the list now included the Semikarakorsk Cheese-Making Plant in the Rostov region. This decision was taken by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) based on guarantees provided by Rosselkhoznadzor.
As reported, Artyom Belov, head of Russia's National Dairy Producers Union (Soyuzmoloko), has forecast that dairy produce exports from Russia could grow 10% in weight terms and 15% in value terms in 2026.
In 2025, Russia's revenue from dairy exports increased 13% year-on-year to over $500 million. Most of these exports were cheese and curd cheese with a 32% share of the total volume, fermented milk products with 24% and ice cream with 15%.
