Ozon launches online platform for finding, leasing logistics facilities for its needs

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Ozon announced the launch of an online platform through which landlords and developers can offer the marketplace their services for leasing or building logistics facilities.

Partners will be able to submit applications for facilities in any region of Russia, or respond to the implementation of projects with specific parameters that Ozon itself publishes.

For leasing, Ozon considers facilities from 5,000 square meters, and for construction from scratch for transfer to lease it considers facilities from 10,000 to 85,000 square meters. Ozon will provide all operational processes and technical equipment for the warehouses independently. When concluding a contract, lease payments will be paid monthly with annual indexation.

The platform already has nine applications for potential leasing of ready-made facilities, including in the Bryansk, Vladimir, Irkutsk regions and other regions. There are also applications for constructing facilities in seven constituent entities of the country by 2028, including the Samara region, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Krasnodar Territory, Dagestan and others.

"Attracting landlords through our own platform will increase the efficiency and speed of finding new facilities for Ozon. With the help of the service, partners will be able to enter their facility into the marketplace's database once and not track tender procurements in specific regions," the company said.

In the future, Ozon also plans to attract professional third-party logistics operators (3PL partners) through the platform, who will independently accept deliveries, sort goods and hand them over to couriers for delivery to customers, as well as process returns. Separate facilities will also accept deliveries from sellers and transfer them for placement in the company's logistics centers in other regions.

Since August 22, Ozon logistics facilities in various regions of Russia have been damaged as a result of UAV attacks.
