Rosatom Arctica completes fuel delivery to Chukotka's unequipped shore - governor

VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 17 (Interfax) - JSC Rosatom Arctica, the single maritime operator of the northern supply, has completed the delivery of fuel to the unequipped shore of Chukotka as part of the 2026 navigation season, the governor of the Chukotka Autonomous District (CAD) Vladislav Kuznetsov said on Max on Thursday.

"Rosatom Arctica fully delivered fuel to 17 settlements of Chukotka where there are no berths and unloading is carried out onto the unequipped shore. In total, since the start of navigation, 62,800 tonnes of petroleum products have been delivered to the district. Since the start of navigation, the single maritime operator has delivered 41,500 tonnes of coal to the district's settlements," Kuznetsov said.

According to information from Rosatom Arctica, the ice situation remains favorable and the northern supply is proceeding according to plan, he said.

In addition to the unequipped shore, supplies are sent to the seaports of Pevek and Anadyr, the latter being key for the northern supply.

The northern supply is a set of measures and financial mechanisms for the regular and uninterrupted supply of territories belonging to the regions of the Far North, as well as areas equated to them, with limited periods for delivering cargo.

The Russian government designated JSC Rosatom Arctica as the single maritime operator of the northern supply from January 1, 2026. The company is already working with a number of regions as part of pilot projects.
