Belarusian industry rises 0.2% in 8M
MINSK. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Belarusian industrial output rose 0.2% year-on-year at constant prices to 146 billion Belarusian rubles in January-August 2026, national statistical committee Belstat said.
Output started rising again in January-July 2026, by 0.1%. It had fallen since July 2025 after recovering since March 2023. Output fell 3.4% in Q1 2026 but just 0.2% in H1 2026.
The manufacturing industry fell 1% in 8M. Output rose in the extractive industry, by 2.7%. It grew 7.5% in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning and 1.6% in water utilities.
Industry fell 1.8% in 2025, grew 5.4% in 2024 and 7.7% growth in 2023, and fell 5.4% in 2022.
