Cargo flights between Tashkent, China's Nanjing to be launched on Oct 12

TASHKENT. Sept 15 (Interfax) - Regular cargo flights between China's Nanjing and Tashkent will begin on October 12, 2026, with a frequency of three times a week, according to a statement from Uzbekistan Airports, the managing company of Uzbekistan's airports.

"Airbus A330 cargo aircraft will be used for the flights. Transportation is expected to be carried out in both directions. The main categories of cargo may be equipment and cross-border e-commerce goods," the company said.

Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports and the Chinese airlines Jiangxi International Cargo Airlines and Beijing Capital Airlines discussed commercial and operational issues related to the possible launch of the route. In particular, the conditions of airport, ground and warehouse services, aircraft refueling, as well as the preparation of the required infrastructure and personnel were considered.

"The launch of regular cargo service between Nanjing and Tashkent will expand the geography of direct cargo air transportation and create additional opportunities for developing trade and logistics links and cross-border e-commerce," Uzbekistan Airports said.

Nanjing is a major industrial and logistics center in eastern China and the administrative center of Jiangsu province. The city is located approximately 300 km from Shanghai.
