Central Bank of Armenia raises refinancing rate to 6.75% pa

YEREVAN. Sept 15 (Interfax) - The board of the Central Bank of Armenia decided to raise the refinancing rate, or discount rate, by 0.25 percentage points to 6.75% per annum at its meeting on Tuesday, the regulator said in a statement.

The rate of 6.5% had been in effect since December 16, 2025, when the Central Bank had lowered it by 0.25 percentage points.

Armenia had inflation of at 3.3% last year, with annual inflation of 4.4% in August this year.
