USDA cuts Kazakhstan's 2026/2027wheat export forecast to 9.5 mln tonnes
ASTANA. Sept 14 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has lowered its forecast for Kazakhstan's wheat exports in the July 2026-June 23027 marketing to 9.5 million tonnes from 10 million tonnes in its September report.
The USDA also cut its wheat production forecast to 15 million tonnes from the 16 million tonnes it was forecasting in August.
It more than doubled its import forecast, to 1.5 million tonnes from 0.7 million tonnes.
Kazakhstan exported 11.5 million tonnes of wheat in the 2025/2026 marketing year, and imported 1.4 million tonnes, according to the USDA. The country harvested 19.33 million tonnes of wheat.
