Russia discussing with U.S. cooperation after ISS project, but no agreements yet - Roscosmos head

MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - There are currently no agreements between Russia and the United States on further joint plans after the completion of the International Space Station (ISS) program, Roscosmos General Director Dmitry Bakanov said.

"We had the ISS project, that's it. They asked to extend it. [We will] extend it and [we're] discussing further projects, but there is no instance of agreement yet, it's a premature option," Bakanov said in an interview with the Vesti News Service.

On July 14, Bakanov said that Roscosmos and NASA agreed to extend the ISS project through 2030. It was also reported that Russia and the U.S. developed a joint program for the conclusion of the ISS's flight in late 2030.

On August 25, Bakanov said that Roscosmos and NASA discussed in July their cooperation after the completion of the ISS program and disclosed certain technical parameters of space hardware.
