Azerbaijan, China's CC7 corporation discuss bolstering cooperation in petrochemical sector

BAKU. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven (CC7) discussed opportunities for cooperation in the oil and petrochemical sectors during a meeting in Baku, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov posted on social media.

"At a meeting with Long Haiyan, Chairman of the Board of China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven, we discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the oil and petrochemical industries in Azerbaijan and third countries," Jabbarov posted.

Jabbarov added that the meeting participants also addressed the status of existing projects and the work underway on subsequent stages.

"We emphasized the importance of further bolstering cooperation with partner companies and financial institutions in this area," Jabbarov said.

China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Corporation Seven is a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC), one of China's largest engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Chengdu, CC7 operates in both chemical and non-chemical sectors across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
