Kazakhstan's QazaqGaz explores borrowing options on Hong Kong capital markets
ASTANA. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's national gas company QazaqGaz is in talks with Hong Kong Exchanges (HKEX) and Clearing and China International Capital Corporation (CICC) on raising financing in Hong Kong's capital markets.
QazaqGaz CFO Zhanbolat Mirmanov held a working meeting Thursday with representatives of HKEX and CICC. The HKEX delegation included Christopher Wong, chairman of the Listing Committee.
"The sides discussed opportunities on Hong Kong's capital market for listing and raising financing, as well as potential areas for further cooperation," the company said.
Particular attention was paid to using international capital markets to finance QazaqGaz's projects and strategic objectives.
