Belorusneft begins producing oil at nine new wells in Aug

MINSK. Sept 9 (Interfax) - The state-owned Belorusneft Production Association began oil production at nine new wells in August 2026, the company's press service reported.

"In August, drilling was completed at nine new sites, which will allow additional tonnes of black gold [oil] to flow into the Belorusneft money box," the company said.

Six wells were built at the Rechitskoye field, one at the Yuzhno-Ostashkovichskoye field, one at the Moskvichevskoye field and one at the Ostashkovichskoye site. All are located in the Gomel region of Belarus.

In August, the company's Svetlogorsk Drilling Department received six assembled drilling rigs.

Founded in 1966, Belorusneft Production Association is engaged in exploring and developing oil fields, drilling wells and producing oil and associated gas in Belarus. It is also active in the oil industries of other countries.
