Putin, Trump speak on phone, conversation lasts 1 hour - Kremlin aide

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump have discussed the outcomes of a trip of Trump's representatives to Moscow and Kiev, the conversation lasted exactly one hour, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.

"Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has had another phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump," Ushakov said at a press briefing.

"The leaders exchanged views on the outcomes of the trips of U.S. special presidential representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kiev in the businesslike and mutually respectful manner characteristic of them," he said.

"The conversation lasted exactly one hour. It was constructive and quite candid," Ushakov said.

Ushakov said the call was confidential, so he could not disclose many important details and nuances.
