Capex for project at Russia's Klyuchevskoye gold deposit estimated at 50 bln rubles
VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 2 (Interfax) - The Zapadnaya-Klyuchi mine, the operator of the development project for the Klyuchevskoye gold deposit in Trans-Baikal, has signed an agreement with local authorities on developing the deposit at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Total investment in the project will amount to 50 billion rubles, Trans-Baikal Governor Alexander Osipov said on social media. The project is scheduled to operate until 2040.
Klyuchevskoye is a prolonged construction project. The legal entity Zapadnaya-Klyuchi Mine has held the license since 2003. As of the end of 2025, the project's investors were the Chinese company China Gold (70%) and the Indian company SUN (30%). The deposit's reserves, according to the latest disclosed data, amount to 143 tonnes of gold.
