Putin, Erdogan talk one-on-one, situation surrounding Black Sea main subject - Ushakov

BISHKEK. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked one-on-one for nearly an hour and a half, and the situation surrounding the Black Sea was the main subject, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.

"As far as I know, the situation surrounding the Black Sea was the main subject," the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper quoted Ushakov as saying.

The Kremlin aide added that the meeting was one-on-one, and the presidents talked for nearly an hour and a half, the newspaper said.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, for his part, said that the Putin-Erdgan meeting was so long because they discussed complicated issues.

The conversation between the two leaders was supposed to last 30 minutes instead of an hour and a half.

"[They had] complicated subjects to discuss," Peskov told the newspaper.
