Russia's cooperation with China covers economy, space, transport - Putin
MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Russian-Chinese cooperation is developing in all areas, including the economy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Our cooperation is successfully developing in all areas, including the economy. We are implementing major energy, industrial, space, transport and logistics projects," Putin said at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Bishkek on Monday.
China's first regular container ship service via the Northern Sea Route launched in mid-August, Putin said.
Mutual agricultural shipments grew by 34%, he said. "Digital innovations, including artificial intelligence technology, are also opening up new opportunities for our countries' economic growth," Putin said, adding that Russia aimed to work together with China in those areas.
"In today's complicated geopolitical environment the comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China are a paragon of interstate relations based on strong traditions, friendship, respect for sovereignty, equality, mutual benefit," Putin said.
