Rosatom plans to close deal to buy out Shishkarev's stake in Delo Group on August 28
MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation, which owns 49% of Delo Group, plans to complete the buyout of the 51% stake of Delo Group's partner, Sergei Shishkarev, on August 28 as part of a Russian roulette deal.
"This Friday, August 28, the buyout of Sergei Shishkarev's 51% stake in favor of Rosatom state corporation, as stipulated by the Delo Group shareholders' corporate agreement, will be legally completed. The Russian roulette process initiated by Rosatom will be legally completed and will be notarized," a Rosatom representative told reporters.
The representative added that the necessary documents have been prepared and submitted to a notary public for the issuance of an executive inscription, which will be used to amend the information in the Unified State Registry of Legal Entities (USRLE).
"The parties have been notified of the date, time, and location of the transaction. The funds, as determined in accordance with the fair market valuation agreement, will be available to Sergei Shishkarev on Friday, August 28, 2026," the representative said.
"Rosatom has extensive experience in integrating large assets of systemically important importance for their industries into our operations. We always uphold the interests of the state and have respected the teams, expertise, and traditions of the enterprise, which is part of the nuclear family," Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said.
The Rosatom representative would not comment on the details of the transaction. Rosatom also plans to implement a number of industry regulations and all processes quickly to improve operational efficiency in order to cut costs and alleviate Delo Group's current debt burden.
Rosatom plans to close the Russian roulette deal with Delo Group in the near future, without waiting for the buyout period to expire at the end of November, Likhachev said in late July.
Likhachev in early July announced that the state corporation had reached a corporate decision to buy out the stake of Shishkarev, a partner in Delo Group, through a Russian roulette deal. Shishkarev, the founder and co-owner of Delo Group, in late June declined the buyout of his partner's stake in Delo Group, and the right to play Russian roulette was transferred to Rosatom.
Rosatom in February announced that it was launching a mutual buyout offer for the Russian roulette deal within the Delo Group amid disagreements with Shishkarev. In March, Shishkarev officially notified Rosatom of his intention to buy out the state corporation's stake in Delo Management Company. According to the terms of the Russian roulette deal, the price for Shishkarev's buyout of Rosatom's stake was set at 74 billion rubles, and Shishkarev's stake at 77 billion rubles.
