Gazprom and Lukoil project to develop Vaneivisskoye field receives approval

MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Layavozhneftegaz LLC, the joint venture of Gazprom and Lukoil to develop the Layavozhskoye and Vaneivisskoye fields, continues to gather project documentation.

Russia's Main State Expert Review Board on August 25 issued a favorable conclusion on the design documentation and engineering survey results to develop the Vaneivisskoye field, according to the Unified State Registry of Expertise Opinions on Design Documentation for Capital Construction Projects (EGRZ). Nefteyugansk-basked Yugraneftegazproekt LLC prepared the project.

The developer in 2025 submitted a design to develop the pilot production site at the Layavozhskoye field. The plans were approved this summer for a crude oil delivery and receiving station and an oil pipeline to the Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu central processing plant, a power complex, and a small-scale modular separation and loading unit at Layavozh.

Nenets Autonomous District Governor Irina Gekht said that the Layavozhskoye field would be launched this year.

Gazprom won an auction for the Layavozhskoye and Vaneivisskoye fields in 2016. The fields hold combined recoverable reserves of over 31 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons and 200 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Gazprom estimates annual production at the fields to be up to 8.5 bcm of gas per year. The oil rims are proposed to be the primary development targets at the Layavozhskoye field, while development of the neighboring Vaneivisskoye field is planned to begin with the gas cap.

Lukoil-Perm LLC operates the Yuzhno-Khylchuyuskoye oil and gas field is located in the northern Timan-Pechora oil and gas province in the Nenets Autonomous District.
