Exporters generate rise in corporate funds in Russian banks in July; dynamics of households remain moderate - CBR
MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Funds of legal entities in Russian banks resumed growth in July after declining slightly in June and jumping 2.9% in May, the Central Bank of Russia said in the regulator's review on banking sector development.
The indicator increased 0.6% in July after a moderate decline of 0.01% in June, rising by 400 billion rubles to 64.9 trillion rubles despite substantial dividend payments, as primarily driven by exporting companies, the Central Bank noted.
Household funds increased by 200 billion rubles to 68.4 trillion rubles in July, up 0.3%, unchanged month-on-month on the back of a rise in consumer activity and ongoing high demand for cash, whose volume in circulation grew by 700 billion rubles in July versus growth of 500 billion rubles in June, Central Bank said in the review.
