Russian govt hasn't made decision to lift ban on diesel imports yet, to continue monitoring market - Novak

MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - The Russian government has not yet made the decision to lift the ban on the imports of diesel fuel for producing companies, currently in effect until September 1, Russia Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

"We will be monitoring and promptly make decisions depending on the need. The decision to open the export has not been made yet, we're holding the import yet, and we will see later," Novak told reporters on Saturday.

There is no shortage of diesel fuel on the domestic market, he said. "There is enough diesel, farmers' needs are covered, and the northern delivery is covered as well. We have enough aviation kerosene too. The problem is only with petroleum," he said.
